Meet Queen Camilla’s former daughter-in-law Sara Parker Bowles: the ex wife of Tom Parker Bowles was a fashion writer before transitioning to being a stylist and wardrobe adviser

Sara Parker Bowles gave the queen two grandchildren, Lola and Freddy, and has praised the Princess of Wales’ mum Carole Middleton’s style, saying: ‘She wears the clothes, they don’t wear her’

Today, at 50, she runs her own fashion company, Wardrobe Revivals.
Here’s how she got there.
Her love of fashion started early

Sara Buys grew up in London’s Hampstead, a neighbourhood known for its mixture of academics, artists and media figures. She says her father, a financial adviser, “indulged me a little too much when I was younger so instead of learning from him I was spoilt and careless with money”.
With an English Literature degree from the University of Leeds, she started at Vogue as a features assistant before moving on to Harper’s Bazaar, where she became features director, covering arts, celebrity profiles and fashion.
In 2007 they welcomed their daughter Lola and in 2011 their son Frederick.
