The 60-year-old actor – who played John Constantine in the 2005 original – recently admitted that the sequel was finally ready for a script. “We have been trying to make this film for over a decade, and we just recently put a story together and pitched it to DC Studios and they said, ‘OK.’ So we’re going to try and write a script,” the John Wick star told Inverse. He confirmed that it would be set in the “same world” as the original production, before adding, “John Constantine’s going to be tortured even more.”

Reeves’ career in Hollywood has been phenomenal, to say the least – and it’s not showing any signs of slowing down any time soon. But what do you know about his glamorous 81-year-old mother, Patricia Taylor – who also worked in the world of entertainment?

Taylor was born in 1944, in Hampshire, England. Reeves has previously talked about how he was taught good English manners from his mother. “It’s so ingrained, it’s now second nature,” he told Good Morning Britain in 2015.

Reeves’ parents crossed paths when they were both in Beirut in their early 20s, notes People magazine. “My mother and father were like 22, 21,” The Matrix star explained on the Conversations with Charlie podcast. “So they met, they fell in love and they had a baby, and that was me. Then they stayed there for a few months and they ended up going to Australia,” he explained.
