Kate Curran, now in her early sixties, is the older sister of British actress Elizabeth Hurley, who has played roles including Vanessa Kensington in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery and the Devil in Bedazzled.
The actress has previously talked about what it was like growing up with her family in Basingstoke, southern England. “I learned a lot in my early childhood,” she told Hampshire Life in 2019. “My father was an army officer and we were a happy family with my older sister and my brothers. A lot of my friends had divorced parents but nothing like that happened in our family, I am glad to say. We all got on pretty well.”
