Despite seeing his net worth plunge by US$17.9 billion after President Donald Trump announced a raft of US tariffs, Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg remains one of the wealthiest men on Earth.

Zuckerberg, who has been building close relationships with Trump amid the forthcoming antitrust trial against Meta, was recently revealed to have bought a US$23 million mansion in Washington and paid for it in cash, per Politico.

But Zuck isn’t the only one in his family to make it big. The Harvard dropout’s elder sister, Randi Zuckerberg, spent years working at Facebook, has her own media company and is the recipient of three Tony Awards.

The eldest of the four Zuckerberg siblings, Randi, 43, was born to Edward Zuckerberg and Karen Kempner-Zuckerberg in 1982.

The couple welcomed Mark in 1984 and younger sisters Donna and Arielle in 1987 and 1989. The siblings grew up in Dobbs Ferry, New York.

In a 2019 appearance on CNN podcast The Human Code with Laurie Segall, Randi spoke of how her parents, who worked in the medical field, allowed their children to find their own career paths.

“To their credit, they never once pushed any of us into medicine,” Randi said. “I think somewhere inside, they knew the careers that we would have didn’t even exist yet.”

Having enrolled in piano lessons when young and being a passionate singer, Randi aimed to study music at Harvard University; unfortunately, her piano skills were lacking and she was turned down. She went on to study psychology at the institution but continued to follow her passion for singing, per The New York Times.
