Meet Raquel Stroll, wife of Aston Martin F1 owner Lawrence Stroll and stepmother of driver Lance Stroll: the Brazilian model-turned-designer creates dresses beloved of celebs like Ashley Graham

The Brazilian beauty moved to Italy at 19 and was a swimsuit model before studying design – Stroll’s second wife also supports her stepson in the pit lane, and creates clothes loved by fashion insiders

In September, the Brazilian beauty stepped out with her husband, 65, at a glitzy Aston Martin event at the Venice Film Festival. She looked radiant in a black and white, floor-length dress as she celebrated the big reveal of Aston Martin’s V12 flagship sports car, the new Vanquish. Stroll’s dress was her own creation, from her eponymous brand.
What else do we know about Raquel Stroll?
What’s her background?

Raquel Stroll was born in Brazil but moved to Italy at 19. According to The New York Times, she started her career in fashion as a swimsuit model before going on to study fashion design at the prestigious Istituto Marangoni in Milan. Its notable alumni include Indian designer Rahul Mishra and late Moschino founder Franco Moschino.
For a while, Stroll worked in public relations at Noona Smith-Petersen for brands such as Valentino. She started designing in 2012, sharing her creations with her colleagues and friends, many of whom were socialites in London, New York and Milan. Word of mouth led to higher demand and Stroll (then still Diniz) released her first ready-to-wear collection in 2016.
