Who is Jason Isaacs’ former actress wife Emma Hewitt – who he met at drama school in the 80s? The White Lotus star’s partner helped him overcome his drug addiction, and now they share 2 daughters

Jason Isaacs recently found himself in hot water over comments he made about Mikey Madison and Margaret Qualley on The White Lotus season 3 press tour – but who is his long term wife, Emma Hewitt?

“I said the wrong words in the wrong way. I used the phrase ‘double standard’, which I didn’t mean at all,” he told Variety in a recent interview. “There is a [different] double standard – women have been monstrously exploited and men haven’t.”
The actor said that his remarks had come out wrong and that he had been tired after doing so many interviews. “I absolutely should not have mentioned those two actresses, whom I respect enormously,” he added. “Mikey Madison I’m a massive fan of. My point wasn’t that men have had a harder time than women – that would be absurd. Women have had a monstrous time on camera forever, and I hope to God that is changing.”
He said he had been asked so many times in the same day about his genitalia by journalists and found it “a bit weird and slightly obsessive” but “battled it off very poorly”.

Away from screen, Jason Isaacs is a loving father and husband to his wife and partner of many decades, Emma Hewitt. Here’s what we know about her.
Emma Hewitt was an actress and documentary maker

Emma Hewitt, not to be confused with the Australian singer of the same name, also used to work in TV and film. She is a former documentary filmmaker and also acted in a handful of British television productions in the early 90s including Casualty, Harry Enfield’s Television Programme, and Jeeves & Wooster, per IMDB.
