The wife of Impractical Jokers’ star Joe Gatto seems to have deactivated her Instagram account after a TikTokker accused her husband of sexual assault – here’s what you need to know about Bessy Gatto

Bessy Gatto appears to have deactivated her Instagram account after a TikTokker accused her husband Joe Gatto of sexual assault.

The former Impractical Jokers star, 48, has denied the claims. “I have used poor judgment and as a result have violated the trust of the people I love most,” Gatto told Page Six on Saturday. “But anyone who knows me at all knows full well that I wouldn’t assault anyone.”

He said that he plans to stay out of the limelight for a while. “Working on myself is an ongoing process, and I am now going to take some time away from the public eye to focus my energies where I need to,” he added.

Joe’s accuser, who goes by @joozyb on TikTok, claimed in a video that she had been sexually assaulted by him in 2023 when she was 19 years old. She alleged that the incident took place in a hotel after she met up with him at one of his shows in Milwaukee, around the time that he “got back together with his wife”. The TikTok user provided screenshots of their alleged DM exchange, and photos of her with the comic. She didn’t go into the details of the alleged assault but said that “some stuff happened”.

Just days after the TikTokker accused Gatto of sexual assault, a former employee has also come forward to recount how the comedian allegedly exhibited inappropriate behaviour towards her, per People magazine.
