The ex-Cincinnati Bearcat player, nicknamed for the popular A1 Sauce, is believed to be hanging out with the ‘Barbie World’ star after a possible pasta date and a definite Academy Awards sighting

After fuelling rumours of a possible romance with British rapper Central Cee last year, Ice Spice is now believed to be dating NFL player Sauce Gardner.

Buzz about a connection between the “Princess Diana” rapper and the New York Jets cornerback started when Gardner was spotted in an Instagram video featuring Ice Spice on February 25.

Later that evening, Ice Spice and Gardner shared photos of Italian-American restaurant Carbone’s famous spicy vodka sauce pasta on their respective Instagram accounts, causing fans to theorise that they were together.

The pair also recently followed each other on Instagram and were both present at the premiere party in New York for American comedian Druski’s Coulda Been Love YouTube series on February 12, as per Just Jared.

They continued to add fuel to the rumours when they were spotted leaving the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscar Party together on March 2.

He played American football for his university

Ahmed “Sauce” Gardner was born in August 2000 in Detroit, Michigan. He played wide receiver and cornerback for his high-school team. His skills were obvious and he received offers from 15 colleges, including Boston College and Syracuse University. He eventually joined the Cincinnati Bearcats of the University of Cincinnati.

He enjoyed a successful college career and was voted on the 2021 College Football All-America Team and named Defensive Rookie of the Year 2022. Gardner was selected fourth overall by the New York Jets in the 2022 NFL draft.
