Meet Marc Andreessen’s wife and Kim Kardashian’s pal, Laura Arrillaga-Andreessen: she’s the daughter of a billionaire real-estate magnate, wife of a venture capitalist, and true Silicon Valley royalty

Boasting 5 qualifications from Stanford University (including 1 from nursery school), to which her late father donated US$300 million, Laura Arrillaga-Andreessen is a professor and philanthropist

But here’s the kicker: the land with which they’re working. It’s been in the family for decades, scooped up by Laura’s father, real-estate legend John Arrillaga Sr, back in 1985. And while California Forever has been grabbing headlines, it turns out the Arrillaga clan’s additional plans have been quietly in the works for years; and they might just cash in big time, thanks to all the attention on their famous tech neighbours.
But Laura is more than John Arrillaga’s daughter and Marc Andreessen’s wife. She is a founder, educator and best-selling author working to empower women to pursue leadership roles.
Here’s all we know about Laura Arrillaga-Andreessen.
Laura Arrillaga-Andreessen: Silicon Valley elite

Laura Arrillaga-Andreessen, thought to be 55, was born into Silicon Valley royalty as the daughter of real-estate titan John Arrillaga Sr, who passed away in 2022 with an estimated net worth of US$2.5 billion. Growing up in Palo Alto, she absorbed her mother’s passion for giving back. With an MBA, an MA in education, not one, but two degrees in art history and a certificate from Stanford’s Bing Nursery School, she’s racked up five diplomas from the Californian institution, per her foundation’s website.
John Arrillaga Sr donated more than US$300 million to Stanford during his lifetime, according to the private university.
