Who is Christina Milian’s French husband Matt Pokora? He began in a boy band before finding solo success in France, worked with Timbaland, and won the French version of Dancing with the Stars

The pair, who met in 2017, have relocated from America to Pokora’s native France after years of commuting between the two countries
Singer and actress Christina Milian, 43, has swapped California’s sunshine for the charm of France.
The singer and actress shared with E! Online late last year that she, her husband Matt Pokora and their kids have officially settled in his native country. Milian’s daughter Violet, 14, from her previous marriage to The Dream, is also along for the adventure, joining her younger siblings, Isaiah, four, and Kenna, three.

“We were commuting back and forth every six months,” Milian explained on The Jennifer Hudson Show. “And then we decided to commit to it last year because our kids were gonna go to school.” The whole family is diving headfirst into French culture, and although Milian is fluent in both English and Spanish, she’s still picking up French. Embracing her progress, she joked, “I’m Franglish now!” But despite the language barrier, she’s loving her life abroad. “I love it there,” she shared. “It’s gorgeous.”

But who is the man who swept Milian off her feet and led her to a new life in France? Meet Matt Pokora.
Matt Pokora is from France

According to People, Pokora was born Matthieu Tota in Strasbourg, France, in 1985, into a football mad family. His father, André Tota, was a professional football player, and young Matthieu initially dreamed of following in his footsteps. However, it wasn’t long before he set his sights on a different path: music.
He got his start in a boy band
The 39-year-old’s entry into the music scene began on the French reality show Popstars, where he became part of the boy band Linkup. According to Last.fm, the trio initially climbed the French charts with a hit, but their early success was short-lived, and poor sales led to the group’s split.
