Former Saturday Night Live cast member Chevy Chase, who’s had a tumultuous relationship with the show, nevertheless celebrated its 50th anniversary with his wife Jayni Chase – so who is she?

Chevy Chase is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Saturday Night Live.

The 81-year-old – who was one of the original cast members on SNL from 1975 to 1976 – was joined by his long-term wife, Jayni Chase, as they posed for photos on the red carpet ahead of the three-hour special on Sunday.

Chevy, who famously fell out with castmate Bill Murray on the show in 1978 and has criticised SNL for peddling “the worst f****** humour in the world” seemed to put aside his differences and enjoy the evening.

The night before he’d also attended Chris Rock’s 60th birthday party and even took a photo with Murray, per the New York Post. The notoriously grumpy Caddyshack actor also happily posed for snaps with Eddie Murphy, Dave Chappelle, Adam Sandler, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, among others.
