Shakira had a successful night at the Grammys earlier this month, taking home the prize for best Latin pop album for Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran at the prestigious award ceremony. During her acceptance speech, she dedicated her trophy to the hard-working immigrants in the US.
“I want to dedicate this award to all my immigrant brothers and sisters in this country,” she said. “You are loved. You are worth it, and I will always fight with you.” She also mentioned her children, who attended the event too. “I want to share this award with my kids, Milan and Sasha, who are with me. I’m so proud of you guys, of your kind hearts. Thank you for supporting me the way you do. I love you,” the Colombian singer concluded.
