Meet the American football player who stressed out singing superstar Swift with his performance against the 3-time reigning champions Kansas City Chiefs

The US may be reeling from 2025’s Super Bowl, which just took place this weekend, but music fans probably still remember when the Queen of Pop had some choice words for a player involved in last year’s event.

Taylor Swift revealed that San Francisco 49ers’ quarterback Brock Purdy “put her through a lot” and had her “very stressed” at last season’s Super Bowl.

Swift, who recently concluded her nearly two-year-long Eras Tour, made the comment while signing autographs at the Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, in December 2024.

To clarify, the superstar, 35, wasn’t referring to any bad blood with the Niner’s Purdy, she was simply referencing the stress of watching last February’s Super Bowl, where the Kansas City Chiefs – and her boyfriend Travis Kelce – reclaimed the Lombardi trophy for the third time after defeating the 49ers in a resounding victory.

“I don’t mind Brock Purdy. He put me through a lot last February. I was very stressed for a second,” Swift said, singling out Purdy’s exceptional performance on the pitch where, during the first half of the game, it seemed as if the 49ers might take the trophy home.
