The Columbia graduate has worked with refugees and co-directed the documentary Guerrilla Habeas, with Trevor Noah as executive producer; she married Strong in a castle in Denmark

Succession star Jeremy Strong’s wife, Dr Emma Wall, is making the headlines for her illustrious career as a multihyphenate. The last time the internet was this impressed with the profile of a celebrity’s spouse was when George Clooney married international human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin. Indeed, the couples may share social circles, because in 2023 Strong and Wall attended the Clooney Foundation for Justice’s Albie Awards.

Last June, Wall, in her forties, accompanied Strong, now 46, to the Tony Awards, Strong winning his first Tony for best leading actor in a play with his performance in an adaptation of Ibsen’s An Enemy of the People. Strong thanked his wife in his acceptance speech while also acknowledging playwright Amy Herzog, saying, “The last time I did a play of yours I met Emma, my wife, who I now have three beautiful children with.”

Now, all the buzz around Jeremy Strong is throwing light on his wife’s achievements. So who is Emma Wall, the woman who stole Kendall Roy’s heart?

Here’s everything to know about the mother of three, psychiatrist and documentary filmmaker.

Emma Wall is a highly accomplished psychiatrist

Emma Wall excelled in academia. After getting her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Brown University, she went to Oxford University School of Medicine and graduated with honours. She completed her Child Psychiatry Fellowship at Columbia University, New York, then went to UCLA, where she was a Max Gray Fellow, working with adults suffering from treatment-resistant mood disorders. She also undertook a stint at Cornell University.

Wall later received funding from the Solsbery Endowed Fellowship for her research on children detained in Gaza and the West Bank. She’s worked extensively with refugees in various parts of the world and has volunteered her services to multiple hospitals. She is also heavily involved with the Los Angeles foster care system.

She is a documentarian

Wall co-directed the 2023 documentary Guerrilla Habeas alongside Betsy Hershey, with whom she co-founded Guest House Productions. Trevor Noah of The Daily Show fame served as executive producer on the short film.
