Who is Eddie Cibrian? The TV star was once married to Real Housewife Brandi Glanville, but left her for country singer LeAnn Rimes – and once upon a time, he was in a boy band
The first-generation Cuban-American star may be best known for his TV work, but his high-profile affair with and subsequent marriage to the ‘How Do I Live’ singer is the stuff of tabloids
American TV personality Brandi Glanville has been making headlines for spending Christmas with her ex-husband Eddie Cibrian and his wife LeAnn Rimes.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum revealed all on her Unfiltered podcast on December 30. “I went over there to my ex’s house because of my kids. I mean, you guys don’t understand the love I have for these children. Like it goes, I would take a bullet for them,” Glanville said.
Meanwhile, Cibrian and Rimes’ love saga could be straight out of a Hollywood script – fitting, since it all kicked off on a Lifetime movie set. Back in 2008, the two met while filming Northern Lights, even though both were married – Cibrian to Glanville, and Rimes to dancer Dean Sheremet. But the real drama started off-camera when their sizzling chemistry led to a headline-grabbing affair in March 2009, blowing up both their marriages by 2010.
Fast forward 10 years, and it seems that the scandalous beginning only made their marriage stronger. But who is Eddie Cibrian, really? Keep reading to get the scoop on everything you need to know.
Eddie Cibrian is a proud first-generation American with Cuban heritage
Cibrian, 51, was born to Cuban immigrant parents, Carl and Hortensia Cibrian, in Burbank, California. According to Brides, after Castro came to power in 1959, his father’s family fled to the US, soon followed by his mother’s. They met in California, where their journey together began.
From soap star to prime time player
After a couple of early bit parts, Cibrian began his career in earnest in 1994, as the villainous Matt Clark on The Young and the Restless (1994-1996). He then moved on to Sunset Beach (1997-1999). Cibrian transitioned to prime time with stand-out roles on Third Watch (1999-2005) and CSI: Miami (2009-2010). More recently, he made a guest appearance on ABC’s Home Economics (2022-2023), according to his IMDb page.
