Ryan Seacrest has spoken about how he used to pretend to be Bon Jovi and his little sister would play Madonna when they were growing up – now their make believe has inspired a children’s book
Ryan Seacrest and his sister Meredith Seacrest Leach have always been super close; now they’re collaborating on a children’s book inspired by their childhood.
Their book, The Make-Believers, was released on October 8. Ryan, 49, explained the backstory behind the idea in an interview with People.

“I was pretending to be a news anchor and videotaping it on VHS. She was pretending to be Madonna. I was always pretending to be Bon Jovi,” the American Idol host said. “It was this notion of how limitless is our imagination and how can we actually apply that to being creative and doing what we end up doing today, which is something that does require a little bit of believing.”
Seacrest Leach told the media outlet that the overall theme of the book is to celebrate “the joys of imagination and the transformative power of play”.
