According to the Daily Mail, Wang’s father, Bin Hui, was a high-ranking local Chinese Communist leader and the chairman of a labour union in her native city of Guilin. She told the publication she was never a member of the Communist Party herself, but she had to keep her relationship a secret from her dad. The publication also revealed that she did take part in patriotic activities organised by the party.
When did Tim Walz meet Jenna Wang?
Per the Daily Mail, Wang met a few months after a then-25-year-old Walz after he arrived in her hometown of Foshan in Guangdong Province in August 1989. The same article adds that she had attended one of his lectures and he whispered “you are very beautiful” into her ear one day.
“Tim was very passionate and very romantic. I can still remember dancing with him to our favourite song, ‘Careless Whisper’,” she told the media outlet. “The fact we couldn’t touch or kiss in public just made it all the more exciting and intense when we were finally alone.”
