Reality TV star Kristin Cavallari is getting candid about the rocky relationships of her past. In a recent episode of her podcast Let’s Be Honest, the 37-year-old opened up about her relationship with ex-husband Jay Cutler, who was recently arrested on a DUI charge. The former NFL quarterback is currently dating Samantha Robertson, while Cavallari recently came out of a relationship with 24-year-old Mark Estes, citing their age gap as a factor in their split.

Now, the former Laguna Beach star is looking back at her life with the father of her three children. “My heart broke in my marriage. Even though I’m the one that walked away, it was not what I wanted. It was not what I had envisioned,” she shared on her podcast, adding, “I really tried f***ing everything I could. It’s just heartbreaking when you want something so badly but you just can’t get there. And I would say my heart was broken for years in my marriage.”

The podcaster quickly clarified, “I’m not talking s*** about Jay at all,” explaining that four years after getting divorce, they are “in the best place that we’ve been in” – so much so that they attended their son Camden’s basketball game together recently.

Cavallari did not comment on Cutler’s arrest but prefaced the podcast episode by saying, “I do, of course, wish Jay nothing but the best, and I do hope that he gets the help that he needs.”

While her relationship with her ex-husband seems to have reached an equilibrium, Cavallari is maintaining a strict boundary with another man in her life – her father, Dennis Cavallari.

In a 2020 episode of Kristin’s reality show Very Cavallari, Dennis told her that the Cavallari family immigrated to America from Italy in 1903. The episode later followed Kristin to Italy, where she found out that her great-grandfather, Frank Cavallari, was originally named Corrado Cavallari.
