September 22 marked 30 years since Friends first hit our screens, but this year’s celebration is clouded by the loss of Matthew Perry, who passed away last October at 54.

As the first anniversary of his death approaches, there are rumours that Matt LeBlanc, Perry’s close friend and co-star, is still deeply affected by the tragedy.

In the past weeks, various reports suggested that LeBlanc has withdrawn from the public eye, sparking concerns from former co-stars like Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox and David Schwimmer about his appearance and behaviour. However, Metro recently debunked these claims, clarifying that while LeBlanc has kept a low profile, he remains in contact with his castmates and is simply living a quieter life.

For the 57-year-old actor, life after Friends has revolved around fatherhood. Since the birth of his daughter, Marina Pearl, in 2004 with ex-wife Melissa McKnight, 59, he’s described being a dad as his most fulfilling role. “I remember when my daughter, Marina, was born. The second I laid eyes on her, I was in love, and I had never felt that way before,” he shared with The Daily Mirror in 2016.

Matt LeBlanc and British model Melissa McKnight welcomed their daughter, Marina, on February 8, 2004. She grew up in Santa Barbara, away from the Hollywood scene. Although the couple split two years later, they remained dedicated co-parents, with LeBlanc adjusting his schedule to spend more time with her, according to People.
