In a loving tribute, his famous father shared a celebratory post on Instagram stating that his child has been “responsible for some of the highest experiences of [Will’s] life,” and that he “introduced [Will] to the true definition of love”.

Trey Smith was born on November 11, 1992, in Los Angeles, California to Will Smith and Sheree Zampino, who were married from 1992 to 1995. His father went on to marry actress and Red Table Talk host Jada Pinkett Smith in 1997, and shares two more children, Willow and Jaden, with his current wife.

According to People magazine, Trey has had his ups and down with both of his biological parents over the years, and Smith was largely absent in his early years as he worried about the negative impact of Trey seeing him and Zampino fighting.
