- Celine Dion just made her first public appearance in 3 years alongside her 3 children, René-Charles Angélil and twins Nelson and Eddy – so who are they exactly?
- René-Charles Angélil, 22, is her eldest and a budding musician, while 13-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy are named after Nelson Mandela and producer Eddy Marnay
Celine Dion is widely recognised as a musical icon, but in her personal life she is a mother of three, and has often said publicly that being a mum is the thing that makes her the most proud.
Although they’ve remained relatively under the radar, Dion does occasionally share snippets of her kids on social media. Last week, the talented singer made her first public appearance in three years according to CNN, stepping out with her three sons at an ice hockey game in Las Vegas.
“My boys and I had such a fun time visiting with the Montreal Canadiens after their hockey game with Vegas Golden Knights in Las Vegas Monday night,” the “My Heart Will Go On” songstress wrote on her Instagram.
Last year, the 55-year-old had to postpone multiple tour dates after being diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome, according to CNN.
So who are her three sons, who have supported her through thick and thin?
Celine Dion had her sons with her late husband, René Angélil
Dion and her late husband René Angélil share three sons together: René-Charles, 22, and twins Nelson and Eddy, 13. As reported in People Magazine, Angélil passed away in 2016 after battling throat cancer.
“I feel extremely fortunate as a mother that – it’s probably the thing I’m the most proud of – I prepared my children for how to live … how to live with him without his presence,” she told Ellen DeGeneres in 2016.
