Who is Thandiwe Newton’s lookalike daughter Ripley Parker? The Gen Z writer is behind Netflix’s Everything Now, had her work published in a Penguin anthology – and once swore at Boris Johnson

- Ripley is the daughter of Thandiwe Newton – who starred alongside Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible 2 and Will Smith in The Pursuit of Happyness – and father Ol Parker, the director of Mamma Mia 2
- Her younger sis Nico made waves acting in The Last of Us with Pedro Pascal, and now the 22-year-old is the next ‘nepo’ baby to watch after writing and producing new Netflix show Everything Now
Talent clearly runs in the family in the Newton-Parker household!

The 22-year-old is an up and coming writer and producer who created just-released Netflix show Everything Now.
Here’s everything you need to know about the talented rising star:
Ripley Parker has famous parents

Ripley Parker is bona fide celeb royalty. Her 50-year-old mum Thandiwe Newton has starred in everything from Mission: Impossible 2 with Tom Cruise and The Pursuit of Happyness with Will Smith, to Guy Ritchie’s RocknRolla opposite Tom Hardy and Idris Elba, and TV shows including Westworld, among others.
Ripley’s dad, meanwhile, is writer-director Ol Parker. The 54-year-old has helmed productions such as Ticket to Paradise with George Clooney and Julia Roberts and Mamma Mia 2.
She is following in her father’s footsteps

It seems that Ripley’s 18-year-old sister Nico is pursuing acting like her mum, while Ripley has chosen her dad’s path to become a writer instead. The sisters have a younger brother, Booker Jombe Parker, who was born in 2014.
