Bridal wear is turning out to be the surprise red carpet style choice for celebrities in 2023. Selected highlights: Michelle Yeoh and Zoe Saldaña wore wedding-worthy gowns to the Oscars in March, while Alia Bhatt and Florence Pugh wore white dresses to May’s Met Gala.

And it turns out that these all-white confections look great on almost anyone. In March, before taking home the Academy Award for best actress for her performance in Everything Everywhere All at Once, Michelle Yeoh took to the red carpet wearing a bright-white tiered Christian Dior gown covered in feathery fringe.

The dress appears strapless at a glance but has a high neckline made of mesh.

2. Jamie Lee Curtis

Same time, same place – Jamie Lee Curtis showed up to the Oscars’ Champagne-coloured carpet in a sheer, long-sleeved Dolce & Gabbana dress.

Curtis rocked the sparkly, long-sleeved dress before winning the award for best supporting actress for her performance in Everything Everywhere All At Once.
