- Celeb kids, from Jaden Smith to Brooklyn Beckham and Miley Cyrus, first get noticed because of their parents – but Apple is now making a name for herself
- She’s appeared singing Ariana Grande’s Just a Little Bit of Your Heart with her dad and has a writing credit for the Coldplay song Let Somebody Go with Selena Gomez
Apple Martin, actress Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter with ex-husband Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, is definitely part of that distinguished group. But who is she, and what do we need to know about the gorgeous and talented teen?
She has an unusual name

Her full name is Apple Blythe Alison Martin, but her unusual first name gets all the attention. In an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2004, Paltrow revealed that the Coldplay singer suggested the name if they were to have a girl.
“It sounded so sweet, and it conjured such a lovely picture for me. Apples are so sweet and they’re wholesome,” Paltrow added.
She turns 18 on May 14

Paltrow had Apple in 2004. With famous parents, it was expected that her birth would receive much fanfare and, at one point, it was said that Apple was even Google’s top-searched celebrity child.

In recent years, the Goop founder has shared heart-warming posts for her daughter’s birthday. In 2020, she shared a rare lookalike photo with Apple while last year she posted a beach pic gushing about her daughter turning 17.
She inherited her dad’s musical prowess
