When Netflix dropped the teaser for the second season of Bling Empire, viewers were quick to notice that Dorothy Wang is part of the new cast. Her name will be familiar for fans of Rich Kids of Beverly Hills, as the 34-year-old was part of its original cast for all four seasons. While there is no denying that she was born with a silver spoon in her mouth, Wang has also built her career outside of reality TV as a licensed property broker, an entrepreneur and an unofficial travel guide.
So what else do we know about her?
1. She has a net worth of US$10 million

The daughter of Roger Wang, who is a billionaire and former CEO of Golden Eagle International Group, Dorothy was born in Beverly Hills, and has an older sister, Janice Wang. Despite being born into a family with affluence, Dorothy is a hard worker, taking up several internships including ones in TV production and jewellery before she decided property was her calling.
Wang’s entrepreneurial ventures include her own jewellery brand, Fabuluxe, and champagne brand, Rich and Bubbly. Today, it’s estimated she has a net worth of US$10 million, per Celebrity Net Worth.
2. She is already a reality star

Starring on Rich Kids of Beverly Hills began Wang’s road to fame, as after the reality show concluded in 2016, she went on to host Fetch Me a Date in 2019, and also appeared on programmes like Famously Single and Steve Harvey. Thanks to her multiple appearances in showbiz, Wang has garnered over a million followers on Instagram.

3. She has a passion for travelling

Living a privileged life has allowed Wang to jet around the world from a young age, and through these experiences, she developed a passion for travelling. Wang has a website dedicated to her adventures where she posts her travel tips for cities like Tokyo, Amsterdam and Capri.
4. She is a supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement

According to Entity Mag, Wang’s family taught her the importance of giving back to society and helping those in need. Besides the fact that Wang was the youngest Goodwill Ambassador for the Nanjing Charity League, she is also a supporter of inclusivity and diversity.

During the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020, she made a list of black-owned restaurants on her website to show her support and encourage her readers to share the love wide and far.

5. She is already friends with the cast members of Bling Empire

Even before Netflix’s announcement, eagle-eyed netizens already suspected that Wang would be part of the cast for the second season of Bling Empire.
