Many would consider Arnold Schwarzenegger and Boris Becker to be two completely different people: one was known to many as The Terminator before he took up a position as Governor of California; another is a lauded tennis player with six grand slam titles under his belt.
Who are Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s closest celebrity friends?
Yet a closer look at them shows that the two are not all that different – and this is most evident in the lives of their two sons, Joseph Baena, 24, and Elias Becker, 22.
Here are some of the ways that their stories seem to run parallel to each other.
Both encountered paternity problems

When Schwarzenegger’s son Joseph was welcomed into this world, it was amid uncertainty about his parentage. His mother is Mildred Baena, the former housekeeper of the Schwarzenegger family, while his father at the time was a mystery.
Schwarzenegger himself did not realise that Joseph was his child until he turned seven or eight years old, when the boy “started looking like me”, he told 60 Minutes. He eventually opened up to Joseph, and told Howard Stern in an interview that he’s “terrific and he totally understands the situation”.

Boris Becker, on the other hand, encountered paternity problems regarding his daughter Anna Becker. In his autobiography Hold On, Stay a While, Boris revealed that he had an affair with waitress and model Angela Ermakova merely hours after his wife Barbara Feltus was rushed to the hospital to give birth to their son, Elias Becker.

As his encounter with Ermakova was a one-time affair, the tennis star acknowledged that Anna was his child after a DNA test. Boris and Feltus eventually split after the affair was revealed.
Speaking of his parents’ separation, Elias told The Daily Mail that their divorce was for the better: “You understand that people have their own emotions and own needs, and sometimes people don’t fulfil those needs any more.”
Both are close to their sons

Despite complicated family lives, both Boris and Schwarzenegger have proven to be hands-on dads, particularly when it comes to raising their sons.
Once it was confirmed that Joseph was his son, Schwarzenegger immediately took a more hands-on approach with his upbringing. He bought a four-bedroom house with a pool for Joseph and his mother Mildred, and also assumed full financial responsibility for the pair.
The two have also been spotted in public several times, and Schwarzenegger frequently celebrates his son on social media. He posted on Twitter for Joseph’s graduation, saying, “You have earned all of the celebration and I’m so proud of you. I love you!”

Elias also keeps a close relationship with his father. In an interview with Tatler, Elias revealed that his father was supportive of his dreams of pursuing photography and filmmaking, even pushing him to enrol at the London College of Communications.

The two also spent some father-son bonding time at Wimbledon to watch the women’s final. Of the experience, Elias told Tatler, “It’s nice to come back to the place that was his playground, at a time when he spent a lot of time winning. Like, damn, this is heritage for my family. It’s kinda cool.”
Their sons both attract attention for their good looks

Both Elias and Joseph seem to get their good looks from their fathers.
Joseph has racked up more than 300,000 followers on his Instagram page, where he often posts shirtless photos of himself at the gym. According to The Daily Mail, Joseph is following in his father’s footsteps to become a bodybuilder.
Beyond his impressive physique, many of Joseph’s followers have praised his looks, comparing him to his father. One Instagram user even commented: “You can tell that if this guy went all out he could surpass his dad with those genes, DO IT.”

On the other hand, Elias pursued a career as a model. Signed by modelling agency Select at the age of 18, he has walked for Dolce & Gabbana at Milan Fashion Week.
Elias is confident about his good looks. In an interview with The Times, he was asked whether his parents told him he was good-looking as he grew up. In response, Elias answered: “No, I mean, they couldn’t really keep it quiet. I just have to look at myself. But it wasn’t really something that I viewed as the only thing that mattered.”
