Kristen Stewart has come a long way since her Twilight days – the 31-year-old actress is getting rave reviews for her serious portrayal of Princess Diana in Spencer. But her acting chops are not the only thing making headlines lately. In an interview with Howard Stern on November 3, she announced her engagement to her partner Dylan Meyer after two years of dating.

She is a screenwriter and an actress

Dylan is no stranger to Hollywood. In fact, she grew up in it. She is a daughter of Oscar-nominated screenwriter Nicholas Meyer, who is famous for works like Time After Time, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.
Like father, like daughter. Dylan is also a screenwriter with outstanding films like Netflix teen drama Moxie (2021), Netflix movie XOXO (2016), the sci-fi series Miss 2059 (2019) and the short films Loose Ends (2015) and Rock Bottom (2019), according to IMDB.

She has also acted in short films like The Death and Return of Superman (2011), Wrestling Isn’t Wrestling (2015) and Jem Reacts to the New Jem and the Holograms Trailer (2015).

She has similar interests as Stewart

Also born and raised in Los Angeles, Meyer shares the same background and love for the city as Stewart. Stewart revealed to Elle that they both felt like “trolls” as kids, and she spoke about how they’re “similar but different” in the interview with Howard Stern.
The Charlie’s Angels star also spoke about wanting to have a “chill” wedding in Los Angeles, according to USA Today.
“I don’t want anyone walking anyone down any aisles, like, we’re just gonna stand, do vows” and “party after”, she Stewart.

Although they live in the same place and work in the same industry, Meyer and Stewart only met for the first time in 2013 on a movie set, according to Daily Mirror. But sparks only flew in 2019, when they crossed paths again at a mutual friend’s birthday party. Stewart was left wondering, “Where have you been and how have I not known you?” according to the same source.
Only two weeks after they started dating, Stewart told Meyer “I love you”, and after about three months, she was even ready to say “I do”. “Yeah, I want to be, like, somewhat reasonable about it, but I think good things happen fast,” Stewart added.

She’s into tattoos and quirky fashion

Another interest that Meyer and Stewart share? Tattoos – and both of them have several. Meyer has a collection of stylish pattern romper tattoos on her arms and fingers that she often flaunts in photos on Instagram.

In addition, she also often appears in unconventional outfits, showing a unique sense of fashion and quirky style, from fun patterns to A-line miniskirts and bright colours.

She loves animals and nature

Meyer appears to be a cat lover, as she posts many photos of her pets Zsa Zsa and Snack on Instagram.

Along with her cats, there are also a lot of other shots of animals and nature on Meyer’s Instagram profile, many from her beloved home city of Los Angeles.

She made a birthday tribute for Stewart and proposed to her

On Stewart’s 30th birthday last year, Meyer posted an adorable love note, disclosing how much Stewart means to her, saying,” It’s my absolute favourite person’s birthday and I’m wishing everyone the volume of beautiful feeling I feel toward her. It’s a short ride on this earth, spend your time with someone that inspires you to be the best version of yourself and lights your sh*t on fire.”

More than a year later, she planned an elaborate proposal for Stewart.
“I wanted to be proposed to, so I think I very distinctly carved out what I wanted, and she nailed it,” Stewart said on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show, “It was very cute … We’re marrying, it’s happening.”
