Ivanka Trump’s 14 biggest fashion fails: before the White House, high fashion and designer brands, Donald Trump’s daughter committed some serious red carpet couture crimes

  • Before the Dior, Dolce & Gabbana and Christian Louboutin, Ivanka Trump donned some truly cringe-inducing looks for the Met Gala and other events
  • From the dress-over-jeans trend to denim skirts – thanks, Paris Hilton – here are a few 90s and 00s looks that hopefully won’t make a comeback

Say what you want about Ivanka Trump, but one thing we can all agree on is that she has impeccable style and a wardrobe that most people can only dream of. In fact, ever since her dad bagged his coveted White House gig in 2016, Ivanka has looked like she stepped right off the pages of a glossy fashion bible.
But it wasn’t always like this. Oh, no. Before White House Ivanka, there was celebrity Ivanka, who owned very different outfits and took fashion inspiration from the likes of Paris Hilton.

While we do love present-day Ivanka’s style, we can also appreciate that she’s also fallen victim to hideous fashion trends over the years. Relatable, much?

In case you’ve forgotten, we had a good chuckle digging up some of her looks from days gone by. (We also came to the conclusion that the early noughties was a really bad time for fashion and we should all be ashamed of ourselves.)

Let’s start with her 2003 TV star look …

When Ivanka starred in a TV show called Born Rich, she attended the HBO Network party to promote the upcoming television series at Warner Brothers Studios wearing this, er, colourful frock that wants to be tie-dye, but didn’t quite make the cut.

Racy and lacy

Satin and lace are good for the bedroom, perhaps (if you’re into that), but it’s not the best combo for an outfit to the Met Gala. Not even in 2004. Ivanka somehow managed to work the silly butterfly obsession of the era into her dress, and we can honestly relate to that (Mariah, never let it go).
