Where are Michael Jackson’s family members now? The ‘King of Pop’ originally sang with The Jackson 5 while his sisters Janet and Rebbie went solo – but what about his children?
Some of Michael’s brothers formed the Jacksons while La Toya chose reality TV over singing – now Michael’s children Prince, Paris and Bigi all dabble in music, with Paris debuting her song Let Down on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
The Jackson family shot to fame after The Jackson 5 – the group formed by brothers Jackie, Tito (TJ), Jermaine, Marlon and Michael – took the world by storm in the late 1960s and 1970s.
Michael launched a solo career in 1971 and his popularity ballooned as he got older and added his now-iconic dance moves. His siblings might have been overshadowed by Michael’s overwhelming success, but each had their own careers in singing, presenting and business. So where are the Jackson family now?
Katherine Jackson
When Bigi turned 15 years old, Katherine resigned as his guardian, passing the responsibility to TJ. Court documents stated: “Katherine is no longer needed to fulfil the duties that were necessary when joint guardians were appointed on September 14, 2012.”
Janet Jackson
Michael may have left us, but fortunately his sister Janet is continuing the family’s musical legacy with her most recent work, a 2018 song recorded with Daddy Yankee called Made For Now. In 2019, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and was due to go on tour in 2020 to launch her new album Black Diamond until Covid-19 put a stop to her plans.
