Adam Sandler and Courteney Cox’s virtual backstage pass, watch NBA courtside with Microsoft Teams – how to interact with celebrities during Covid-19

Call a Disney prince, cook with a Grammy winner and sit courtside at an NBA game, all from the comfort of your own home – coronavirus lockdown has inspired stars to get creative with ways to engage fans online, raise money for charities and simply offer some light relief
Given the current pandemic, it’s hard to imagine when we’ll be up close with a celebrity ever again.
Yet with concerts, book tours and live sporting events all postponed or cancelled, it’s no wonder that celebs have taken to performing, cooking, and doing meet and greets virtually. If you’re aching to have a genuine celebrity interaction right now, you’re in luck, because it actually may be easier than ever before.
Virtual backstage passes
Megastars like Courteney Cox, Adam Sandler and Kelly Clarkson held a charity event recently where fans could bid for virtual backstage passes. The winners got up close – as much as possible through a computer screen – with their favourite celebs, with proceeds going toward epidermolysis bullosa research.
Clarkson also took part in the #AllInChallenge, encouraging fans to bid for a VIP experience with her, with proceeds to feed the hungry.
With charities and non-profits struggling through this time, we’re likely to see more stars stepping up to support their favourite causes through more virtual events.
Cameo
The popular celebrity message platform has added a new feature, Cameo Live, where fans can pay for a virtual chat with their favourite star.
