Following the hit collaboration Sour Candy, from Lady Gaga’s comeback album Chromatica, the world’s best-known K-pop girl group is gearing up for its own return to chart-land with an as-yet-untitled LP – here’s everything we know so far

Last year, Blackpink’s smash “Kill This Love” EP received critical acclaim across the world. Fortunately, Blinks won’t have to wait long for new music, because the K-pop Quartet is making a comeback in June.

While most details are still shrouded in mystery, here’s what we know about the world-slaying girl group’s latest album.

First full-length album

Throughout Blackpink’s career, the group has only released EPs and singles – but for this upcoming comeback, they’ll release their first full-length album. Management agency YG Entertainment confirmed the news, saying, “After long hours of work, we’ve completed recording [of] over 10 tracks of Blackpink’s new songs, which [comprise] Blackpink’s first studio album.”

Three-part comeback

Like superstar Taylor Swift, Blackpink will adopt a long-lead album release cycle – which will keep fans on the edge of their seats.

The comeback will be in three stages, beginning in June with a pre-release title track teaser, YG Entertainment confirmed. A second song will be released in July or August, then fans can grab the full album in September.
