A month after tying the knot with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift was spotted at the wedding of recording engineers Oli Jacobs and Laura Sisk. The pop star rocked a new hairdo, cutting her hair to shoulder length and styling her fringe to the side.

Swift was seen mingling with the bride at the wedding, held at Real World Studios in the UK. Other stars present at the celebration include Jack Antonoff, Sabrina Carpenter and Phoebe Bridgers.
So, who exactly are the recording engineer couple who have produced and mixed some of our favourite tunes, and how do they know Taylor Swift? Here’s what we know.
Who is Laura Sisk?

Laura Sisk is a freelance recording engineer who has worked with many music stars. She told Vice in an interview that she has played the piano, clarinet and oboe since she was young, and attended the Marin School of the Arts in California. While helping her friends record audition tapes for summer programmes, she learned to use her school’s Roland recording system and realised she enjoyed recording music more than performing it. She then studied at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University.
She quickly made her way in the industry, and ended up working with Antonoff on his first album with his band Bleachers, Strange Desire. “She’s the best engineer I ever worked with,” Antonoff said on the Tape Notes podcast. Sisk has also engineered for other Antonoff collaborators including Sabrina Carpenter, Lana Del Rey, Lorde and The 1975. She has won seven Grammys for her work.
Who is Oli Jacobs?

Oli Jacobs is a freelance mixing engineer. The Brit previously worked as head engineer at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios and has worked with artists including Harry Styles and Kendrick Lamar.
He attended the University of Surrey, where he took the Tonmeister course in music and sound recording after the head of music at his secondary school recommended it to him. After graduating in 2014, he started his career at Real World Studios, where he previously interned. He switched to freelance in 2022 and is now based in Los Angeles, where he has a studio.
Jacobs worked on The 1975’s album Being Funny in a Foreign Language, and frequently collaborated with Antonoff and his partner, Sisk. Jacobs has been nominated for 11 Grammys, and is a five-time winner – twice for best engineered album. He was also the mixing engineer for Bridgers’ newly released album, Lost Weekend.
How do the couple know Taylor Swift?

Sisk and Jacobs have worked on several albums with Swift.
Sisk first worked with Swift on 1989, which earned her a Grammy for album of the year in 2016. She has since worked on many of Swift’s musical projects, including Reputation, Lover, Evermore, Midnights, The Tortured Poets Department and Folklore – which also won the Grammy for album of the year in 2021. Sisk was also involved in the engineering for Swift’s re-recorded “Taylor’s Version” albums.
Meanwhile, Jacobs helped produce 1989 (Taylor’s Version) and The Tortured Poets Department, and even provided backing vocals on the latter.
The newlyweds seem to have a good relationship with the pop icon. “TTPD!!! Love you Taylor, Jack, Laura. I can’t thank you guys enough for everything. The greatest team anyone could ever ask to be a part of,” Jacobs wrote in an Instagram post for the album’s release in 2024.
Sisk also shared her appreciation for the singer at the 2024 Resonator Awards. “Taylor Swift, I want to thank you so much for the endless inspiration,” she said. “She’s truly one of a kind in her work ethic and getting to do so many different kinds of projects with her has made me grow so much as an engineer.”
