Championship golfer Bryson DeChambeau recently joined Donald Trump on stage at Mar-a-Lago after his presidential election win, but didn’t appear to have brought his girlfriend Lilia Schneider along

Donald Trump has won the 2024 US presidential election, but his victory speech came long before his presidency was confirmed. While addressing fans at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in Florida, the president-elect made a point of welcoming his long-time supporter, professional golfer Bryson DeChambeau, onto the stage.

Wearing a black Make America Great Again hat, DeChambeau waved to the audience but appeared “shy”, according to Trump. The 78-year-old had previously joined the double US Open golfing champion on the green for the YouTube channel series Break 50, helping to raise US$250,000 for military veterans’ charity the Wounded Warrior Project.

While introducing DeChambeau, Trump joked that he “hits the ball a little longer than me” and congratulated him on his June title win. “He’s got a great career going, great US Open, Bryson, that’s a fantastic job,” said Trump.
