Girard-Perregaux to show at SIHH 2017

Next year’s Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) will see the return of Girard-Perregaux
"As a founding member of the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie, Girard-Perregaux naturally regains its position alongside the most prestigious brands of haute horlogerie,” stated Antonio Calce, CEO of Girard-Perregaux.
The Swiss manufacture, founded in 1791 and now owned by luxury conglomerate Kering Group, has been a major player in haute horlogerie.
It’s without doubt that changes are looming at SIHH. Prior to the addition of Girard-Perregaux, the prestigious watch fair included for the first time nine independent watchmakers under the Carré des Horlogers series. The participating independent watchmakers include Laurent Ferrier, MB&F, Urwerk, Christophe Claret, De Bethune, H.Moser & Cie, Hautlence, HYT and Kari Voutilainen.
Girard-Perregaux has yet to disclose whether it will also be under the same programme or will be showing alongside the other 15 original exhibitors – such as Cartier, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre that fall under the Richemont Group as well as independent watchmakers including Audemars Piguet and Parmigiani.
Organised by Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH), the 2017 edition of SIHH will take place from January 16 to 20 at Palexpo Geneva.
