Oscar for progress Oscar de la Renta once said: “Now is the most exciting time in fashion. Women are controlling their destiny, the consumer is more knowledgeable, and I have to be better every single day.” Inspiring words from the man who used to dress Jackie Kennedy. That progressive streak is evident in the label’s latest jewellery line, which features abstract pieces in tarnished gold and Gaudi-esque shapes. Standouts include the drop pearl earrings (above left; HK$1,990) and the flower clasp bracelet (above right; HK$3,790). Oscar de la Renta is in Harvey Nichols, The Landmark, Central, tel: 3695 3388.

As if dominating the interior design world were not enough, the Scandinavians are now infiltrating the ranks of Milan's fashion houses - the Italian peninsula is swarming with Nordic labels and their ready-to-wear lines. Chief among these is accessories label Savas, whose bold shapes and not-so-subtle 3D reindeer insignia have earned designer Rasmus Ringberg honourable mention in Italian Vogue. We love the gold basket shopper, which comes with a leather insert in red or black (above; HK$16,900 each). Savas is available in Harvey Nichols, Pacific Place, Admiralty, tel: 3968 2668.

All-purpose flowers To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Stella McCartney's sports luxe line with Adidas, the brands have recently released a capsule collection. The scuba, yoga and running apparel features floral prints on skins and tanks using Adidas' patented hi-tech ClimaChill and ClimaCool temperature-regulating fabrics. We love the seamless tights in blue (HK$1,000) with matching grey and blue seamless flower-patterned tank (HK$850; both above left) and the scarlet studio leggings (HK$1,200) and matching yoga tank (HK$750; both above right). The collection is available at D-Mop, 11 On Lan Street, Central, tel: 2840 0822.
