Official supplier to the Spanish royal family, Loewe knows leather - and we'll be forever indebted to the brand for introducing us to high Iberian style. The luxury fashion house's first collection since the arrival of hot shot creative director Jonathan Anderson offers up fresh versions of the iconic Amazona bag, along with a series of geometric purses and shoulder bags in loud, primary colours. We love the oversized pouch effect of the Flamenco python bag (above right; HK$42,850) as well as the bright yellow Triangle bag (above left; HK$15,100). Loewe is in The Landmark, Central, tel: 2522 0996.

The long and short of it Now the sweaty summer has passed and we're enjoying a less aggressive air-con regime, we are glad Leonard Paris' autumn-winter line has arrived. It's all about drapery and Orient-inspired prints designed to make an impression. Colourful cotton jerseys relax the collection's more rigid, statement pieces, such as its stiff, patterned wrap skirts and oversized patchwork coats. Silk muslin is a staple of many items, and we have our eyes on a long, ethereal monochrome dress (above right; HK$99,000) for our next gala dinner. For the daytime, we love the heavily embroidered angora jumper (HK$49,000) and the vibrant obi-style short skirt (HK$19,000; both above left). Leonard Paris is in Prince's Building, Central, tel: 2521 7733.

Block party Sportmax has gone all out with a winter collection that smacks of extravagance. Python skin and fox fur are regulars among the line's lavish textiles while perspex heels will speak to the edgier trendsetters among us. Suckers for a 90s throwback, we love the leopard-print court shoes with a thick, horizontal band (above right; HK$6,680) while, for something more demure, we'd go for the black suede ankle boots with wooden heel (above left; HK$5,580). Sportmax is in Pacific Place, Admiralty, tel: 2918 4228.
