Behind the label: Anna Coroneo

Who started it? Australian artist and designer Anna Coroneo cut her teeth selling tank tops made from dyed cotton and coloured ribbons on Sydney's Bondi Beach. She went on to train at London's Central Saint Martins and Parsons The New School for Design, in New York, before exhibiting her photographs and paintings at major art fairs, such as Art Basel Miami and the Affordable Art Fair in New York. It was the fashion world that ultimately attracted her, however, and she launched her eponymous luxury scarf brand last year.

Why we love it: "Scarves are the ultimate fashion accessory," says Coroneo. "My friends often commented that my artwork would translate well onto fabrics." They were right: her scarves are like paintings that can instantly lift your mood. Made from fabrics such as silk chiffon and twill, the scarves are ideal cabin mates for frequent travellers and make cheery gifts in every season.

What we'd pick: to say we are in love doesn't do the scarves justice - given the choice we'd grab several. We're obsessed with the strawberries scarf and the blue and black Kisses and, for good measure, maybe the multicoloured gemstone one. The scarves are priced at HK$2,650 each.

Where can you get it? Anna Coroneo is available at Lane Crawford, IFC Mall, Central, tel: 2118 3388
