Who started it? French designers Eric Semain and Lydie Chabot joined forces in 1994 to establish their eponymous jewellery brand. Since then the label has collaborated with fashion heavyweights such as Christian Lacroix, Ungaro and Valentino, among others. The pair take inspiration from 19thcentury European jewellery and nature, with designs featuring delicate flowers, birds and stones.
Why we love it: the jewellery is subtle yet intricate enough to draw attention. Cast in bronze and gold-plated brass and silver, the pieces are embellished with natural pearls and semi-precious stones. The jewellery is feminine without being girly.
What we’d pick: the drop earrings with white-dove detailing (right; HK$750) would make a striking accompaniment to a simple dress or suit. We also love the stackable bronze rings with flower details (left; HK$850 each) that wrap delicately around the finger – charming accessories for everyday wear.
