Best alternative yoga apparel in Hong Kong
Local yogis are creating their own lines of activewear
As yoga studioshave sprung up across the city to offer a respite from the long hours workers spend in airless offices, so too have brands catering to the sartorial needs of the city's ever expanding yoga community. And although many big names such as Adidas and Lululemon offer lycra leggings, sports bra-lined sweat absorbing tops with sanskrit embossed insignia, local start-ups are offering alternatives to mainstream sportswear trends.

With 12 years of experience in Asia's yoga industry, Pure Yoga — founded by Almen Wong and Colin Grant — started off by sourcing mainstream, popular brands for locals and, in 2013, branched out and launched its own collection, Pure Apparel.
Retail director Nashra Rahman says what sets their line apart is their flattering designs, premium fabrics and attention to detail. "Form, fit and functionality are crucial elements of very single design in the collection," she adds.
