Prune Organic Deli & Workshop offers healthy, organic meals with plenty of flavour

Often, the term "healthy snacking" is an oxymoron — when we're hungry, the instant gratification offered by sugary or deep-fried foods is just too hard to resist.
A number of eateries have opened in the past few years attempting to make healthy food more widely available, one of the more prominent being Grassroots Pantry. Executive chef and director Peggy Chan opened the meat-free, sustainability- and nutrition-focused restaurant in 2012, and expanded last year with a cafe next door named Prune Organic Deli & Workshop.
Chan says eating healthily isn't about boring, tasteless "rabbit food". With her cafe, she aims to offer "all day casual food that is nourishing, nutritious but does not lack flavour or the fun of eating".

Prune serves breakfast, all day, every day. Chan says that breakfast, "is all about familiarity, therefore we do not change our menu that often. However, we adapt to what seasonal vegetables are available."
There are bite-sized snacks in the display cabinet, such as cakes and macarons.
