After opening in 2012 at the Mercer hotel in Sheung Wan, Sushi Shikon moved to its new home at the Landmark Mandarin last year. Retaining its three-Michelin star status since 2014, this traditional Edomae sushi restaurant is influenced by Ginza tastes and flavours; it is an offshoot of founder Masahiro Yoshitake’s famous three-Michelin star Tokyo eatery.

The Hong Kong outlet has eight seats at the sushi counter and the private room, with six around a counter with their own chef. The menu is mostly omakase, with fresh ingredients flown in each morning. The dinner menu comprises six appetisers, 10 pieces of sushi, soup and dessert. The abalone with liver sauce is divine.
