The Good Bad Mother doesn’t seem too sure about what it’s trying to say about parenting.

Following the untimely death of her husband decades ago, the formerly bright and bubbly pig farmer Ji Young-soon (Ra Mi-ran, Honest Candidate) pushed her son Choi Kang-ho through a gruelling education to make sure he wouldn’t wind up as a powerless man like his father.

He became a successful prosecutor, played as a 35-year-old adult by Lee Do-hyun (The Glory), but distanced himself from his mother.
