Michelin has unveiled its selection of Bib Gourmand restaurants in Hong Kong and Macau that it considers offer “value for money” dining – including 10 new entries.

The list was revealed ahead of the unveiling on March 13 of the Michelin-star restaurants in the 2025 edition of the Michelin Guide Hong Kong and Macau.

Bib Gourmand establishments offer a three-course meal for a maximum price of HK$400 (US$51) in Hong Kong or 400 patacas in Macau. They include street-food stalls and places that only sell takeaway meals.

Nine of the 10 new Bib Gourmand places in the 2025 guide are in Hong Kong. Many of the new entrants had previously been recognised as “Michelin recommended”. They take the total in the Bib Gourmand category to 77.

Among the new Bib Gourmand awardees are a Mediterranean restaurant, places specialising in Chinese desserts and a takeaway snack place where the queues are always long.

Banana Boy in Yuen Long, New Territories West, has developed a cult following for its freshly made Thai-style banana roti, although recently it has been dominating social media feeds with its rich green pistachio roti with pistachio cream and chopped pistachios.
