Here are five new places to while away the hours this month, from a Scandinavian-style space to a pet-friendly pop-up.

1. Urban Coffee Roaster

Taking over a prime spot on Hollywood Road near the Mid-Levels escalators is home-grown coffee specialists and cafe brand Urban Coffee Roasters, which has branches in Tsim Sha Tsui, Causeway Bay and Tseung Kwan O.

The new Central location is an eye-catching two-level operation that is highlighting its cocktail programme as well as coffee made from beans roasted in-house.

The cafe is especially proud of its Irish coffee cocktails, which are inspired by and incorporate the profiles of famous baked desserts, from Red Velvet to pandan cake.

Its Cointreau Disaronno latte combines the famed orange- and almond-flavoured liqueurs with decaffeinated espresso and steamed milk.
