Read on for our selection of the weekend’s best food and drink happenings.
1. Heimat
Duck, duck, goose? Chef Peter Find of modern German restaurant Heimat in Central on Hong Kong Island has launched a seasonal menu featuring traditional German roast goose (also known as Martinsgans) that will only be available from November 7-12.
The traditional dish sees the goose stuffed with orange, apple and mugwort, then roasted for three hours before being carved and served with traditional apple and red cabbage, potato dumplings and gravy.
Find’s menu will also include goose lard and farmhouse bread, and mâche salad with rillettes and foie gras. The goose is available as part of a three-course lunch (HK$480/US$60) or five-course dinner (HK$980).
