One of the highlights of the 31st HKTDC Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair, the gallery's Public Day will take place on Sunday at the Brand Name Gallery, a premium zone that showcases branded watches and clocks. Events of the day are open to the public.

Former Miss Asia and models will also strut the catwalk, and fashion designer Cecilia Yau will offer tips on styling watches with fashion and appreciating fine watches. Visitors will have the chance to win innovative watches sponsored by Brand Name Gallery exhibitors in a lucky draw, while also purchasing timepieces offered by selected exhibitors at a discount.

At the Tourbillon watchmaking demonstration and sharing session, award-winning graphic designer Kan Tai-keung will talk about designing a watch to celebrate his 70th birthday, which is manufactured by Memorigin, the first Hong Kong company to manufacture tourbillon watches. A tourbillion-making demonstration will also be presented.

A limited edition of 70 pieces designed by Kan will be launched at the fair. The theme of his design is longevity, and the tone of the watch is black, the designer's favourite colour. One hundred Chinese characters of "longevity" can be found on the dial and at the back of the watch. Kan wants to pass on blessings of good health and longevity. The watch, which is worth HK$180,000, will be available for pre-order during the fair.
