British brand Bibetta turned to the underwater world of diving to create its new range of baby bibs. The UltraBibs are made from neoprene, the same material used for diving suits so they are waterproof and quick to dry. The material is used for the inner lining and covered with a nylon outer layer making the bibs easy to clean. Neoprene is durable so they should last longer than cloth bibs. Three versions are available, one for babies and two styles for older tots including one with sleeves and one without. Colours include green, blue, pink and purple. HK$79 (small), HK$99 (large) and HK$199 (large with sleeves) at Bibidada, shop 18, M/F Hing Fook Building, 8 Man Hop Path, Yuen Long, tel: 2442 1100

Food spills are part of the dining package when children are at the table, but the CaliBowl promises to prevent overflows. The bowl has an inner-lip designed to guide food back into the bowl and onto the spoon, apparently giving children more control. A suction foot at the base keeps the bowl steady on the table. The bowls come in eight sizes and many colours, including purple. HK$58 to HK$318 at mothercare, 201-202, 2/F Lee Gardens Two, Causeway Bay, tel: 2627 0035
