The future of Hollywood has never looked more uncertain, with the encroachment of artificial intelligence threatening to eradicate jobs across the industry, while the impending merger of Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery casts doubt over the studio system itself.
Nevertheless, for the everyday movie-goer, there remains – for now, at least – a steady stream of enticing prospects to lure us out of our homes and into the nearest multiplex.
Below are 12 of the most exciting new releases coming to cinemas over the next three months (opening dates are for Hong Kong).
1. Ready or Not 2: Here I Come
Reuniting the directors of the first film with star Samara Weaving, this sequel to the hit horror comedy sees Grace – the sole survivor of a deadly game that claimed her husband and in-laws – forced to compete in another fight to the death.
Some of the world’s wealthiest families must hunt her down or risk losing their fortunes, and this time they are targeting Grace’s little sister, too. Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Elijah Wood join in the fun. (Opens on March 26)
