The next Mirror? Hong Kong band members in Canada to introduce hopefuls for new King Maker season and meet their ‘warm and welcoming’ fans
- Lokman Yeung and Anson Kong, of Canto-pop boy group Mirror, were in Canada to promote the fifth season of King Maker, the reality show that launched them
- Fans went wild as they introduced 14 North American finalists, praised the ‘warm and welcoming’ people of Vancouver, and talked about playing with snow

By the time Lokman Yeung and Anson Kong Ip-sang arrived at Aberdeen Centre, a shopping centre in Richmond in British Columbia, western Canada, their fans had already been waiting an hour for them.
The televised contest had launched their own entertainment careers and garnered them fans across the world, as was evident by the hundreds of fans who lined all three floors of the Richmond shopping centre, eager for a glimpse of their idols.
Kong and Yeung’s visit, organised by Canadian Chinese broadcaster Fairchild Radio, was their first to the country.

“The weather is quite cold but we enjoyed it,” said Kong. “We heard Vancouver doesn’t usually get much snow, but there was quite a dump of snow when we arrived so we were excited to play with the snow.”
