Casting magic in the real world is something that Harry Potter fans can only dream about. At least, until now.
Released over the weekend by Niantic – the same video game developer that gave us Pokemon Go in 2016 – Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is the latest augmented reality (AR) title for mobile phones running on Android and iOS.
Just as you can catch different Pokemons in your neighbourhood, here, as a newbie wizard, you can zap spells at all sorts of fantastic creatures at your desk.
There is a lot more you can do – and collect – here, but is this a worthy follow up to the phenomenal Pokemon Go?

After downloading the game, you go through a series of simple tutorials on how the game works – some voiced by an actor who sounds spookily like Daniel Radcliffe who played the boy wizard on the big screen – before joining the Statute of Secrecy Task Force, which I assume is where grown-up Harry Potter works now.
